Linc is an innovative project, implemented by CARE Egypt, designed to meet some of the educational needs of rural villages in Upper Egypt.

The main goal if this project is to empower schools through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), develop models of sustainable low-cost ICT Centers, promoting and providing access to communication to rural communities in Upper Egypt.

Project Achievements:  

• Established 64 school-based ICT centers over a period of 3 years to meet ICT needs of 100 primary and multi-grade schools (each ICT Centers have 7 computers with internet access and accessories such as printers, and scanners)
• Raised awarenss on the importance of ICT for education
• Conducted capacity building to more than 200 studnets and teachers in 3 Governorates (BeniSuef - Minia - Fayoum)
