BADER Vodafone Egypt Foundation in partnership with the Youth Association for Population and Development promote volunteersim among students in Egyptian schools.
BADER students are encouraged to volunteer and participate in solving their most pressing social problems.
BADER aims at creating self-reliant generations, capable of proposing solutions to different challenges based on values of participation, social responsibility, and volunteerism.
Through engaging students in discussions about their social problems, and giving them the chance to engage in different social initiatives; students become active participants in their community, and engage in initiatives for the well being of their community, whether it’s their school, their household, their village, or their workplace.
BADER phase I was launched in 2005, 60 BADER clubs were created in 4 Governorates. These clubs became a social hub for children and youth to engage in workshops, and initiatives for the well being of their community.
BADER phase II was launched in 2007, expanding the number of BADER clubs to 150 in 10 Governorates: Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia, Daqahlia, Sharqia, Menia, Assuit, Suhag, Qena, and Aswan.
